Procrastination is easy to spot on some Day Master while others may not even look like one. There are many types of procrastination. The most common one is waiting and not doing anything. Repetitively work and doing the same thing expecting different result or constantly changing with no result is a procrastination too. Below is the list of Day Master who procrastinate the most and the least.
Wu Earth Day Master are the people easiest relate to procrastination. This is because like the mountain or big rock, the hardly move. They like to observe, listen quietly and plan before making the move. They are always waiting for the right moment. The bad news is there may not be any right moment. It takes an earthquake to shock these Wu Earth people into action but in life, there aren’t many shocking events. Most of the time life is mundane and it’s up to the person to make a different and make it great.
Hey! But then there is no other Day Master like Wu Earth that can sits still and at the same time creates or produces gold, diamond or emerald.
They say Ding Fire people can change people through the offering of enlightenment because like the candle they shine for people or it burns the wood to ashes and even incinerates the earth. Sometime changes like these are a quick fix may not have a lasting effect.
As for earth, it produces minerals and beautiful stones through high density compression and pressure through many thousand years and quietly too. This is called “silent work” so sometime it is not that Wu Earth people do not move or make changes, it just that no one pay attention to those slow and tedious work that need time. However, whatever the result is, it is 100% beautiful. Hence, Wu Earth helps people to make changes too albeit in a slower way but with a long lasting effect.
Eh hem! However, Wu Earth people out there, you are still ranked No. 1 procrastinator so better beef-up. Even if you’re not doing anything, try to look good, okay?!
The next procrastinator that is easily spots on is Bing Fire Day Master. Like the Sun rises and falls every day without fail the Bing Fire people do things repeatedly. They dislike changes because it disrupts their routine. As we all know repetitive work done well will create flawless skill, genius, expert and talented individual. Malcolm Gladwell famous book title “Outliers” repeatedly mentions the “10,000-Hour Rule”, claiming that the key to success in any field is, to a large extent, a matter of practicing a specific task for a total of around 10,000 hours. So there is a thin fine line to differentiate the Bing Fire falling between procrastinator and practitioner honing to become talented. The key word is fine tuning and upgrading what you do repeatedly. It is like coming out with an iPad, iPad 2 and 3.
Yi Wood Day Master falls next in line as a procrastinator. Their procrastination arises when their flexibility becomes negative or shall I say they can be indecisive. Yi Wood people can and will agree with many people in dealing with an issue. This is because they like sit on the fence and do not want to offend anyone. They become the agreeable guy. At the end of the day time will be wasted waiting for a Yi Wood to make the final decision as they try to please everyone.
Ding Fire and Ji Earth are what I called the internal procrastinator. Ji Earth people are individuals who will put all other wishes and needs of other people first while Ding Fire people are busy helping others. When they come to treating themselves with goodness, they procrastinate.
Water people are seen the least to procrastinate but I feel they are the worst. They are always seen as moving from here to there and changing from this to that. Basically they are very active.
Ren Water people without a direction are like water splatter all over the place. Their minds want to achieve so many things or want to go everywhere but at the end of the day they are only an individual. If your energy is scatter and you’re unable to focus, you achieve very little. So when you measure what you do, which may be a lot, with the result and if the result is less, then you are unproductive. This is also procrastinator. Why so? They are doing thing for the sake of doing and not for result.
Same goes to the Ren Water brother, Gui Water. Gui Water people are forever changing and cannot sit still. If you find yourself constantly making changes but the end result is still undone, half-baked and not in proper order or you land where you begin i.e. square 1, 2 or 3 out of the supposedly 10 square ahead, you are actually procrastinating. You are changing for the sake of changing. Some works need time to see result but Gui Water people hardly has the stamina to wait it out. You are lucky to make a Gui Water person commits to a course for a year. Their best time frame is benchmarked within a year.
Awareness of a problem is the first step towards ratifying it or making changes for the better. However, it is actually scary when nobody realised there is a problem. This can happen to water people when they procrastinate because they don’t look or act like one.
Xin Metal Day Master’s procrastination comes from their need of others approval. When you put too much care on how you come across to others you may forget what’s important. Their pride and face value may lead them away of doing what is essential unless their own name or branding is part of the work.
Jia Wood and Geng Metal people are the least procrastinators unless they let their stubbornness get the better of them.
